The tradition of mundan is going on in Hinduism for a long time. The mundan rites of any infant are mostly performed at holy religious places. The removal of the hair from the head of the baby after the birth of the mother is called Mundan Sanskar. There are many beliefs and logic behind getting the Mundan ceremony done. Hinduism According to classical beliefs in Hinduism, Mundan Sanskar is a very important rite to increase the strength, health, brightness of the child and remove the impurities of pregnancy. There is a mythological belief behind getting the shaving ceremony done that it strengthens the intelligence of the child, due to which intellectual development takes place properly. Apart from this, it is believed that by immersing the hair of the womb, the curses of the child’s previous birth are redeemed.
